Mission:

We visited a rehabilitation center at Odzi here in Mutare. We bought food that can support them for some time as well as spending some times with the children sharing some words with them.

 The need we identified

 1. Need money to pay 6 workers of the centre who most of time work without being paid due to unreliable fund support.

 2. Need for the addition of equipment for the physiotherapy and oxygen support machines which supports the children especially when their muscles are weak to support them.

 3. Above all they need to be shown constant love, this is because they happily interacted with us even though they have a certain limited time to live.

Project: Our community service activity was done on 21st April 2018 in Odzi, Mutare, in the center called “National Muscular Dystrophy Center”. This center keeps children who are discovered to have acquired the genetic disease that normally affects boys to whom by the age of 20 years they die of the disease.
